Purpose

The Search Intelligence Brain Canon defines the governing rules, boundaries, and operational principles for the Search Intelligence Brain within MWMS.

This Canon ensures that:

  • search strategy remains centralised
  • responsibilities do not overlap with other Brains
  • search visibility is treated as a coordinated system
  • modern search environments (SEO + AI search) are managed correctly

Core Principle

Search is not a tactic.

Search is a system of:

→ authority
→ selection

MWMS must engineer how it is:

  • discovered
  • trusted
  • surfaced

Authority Scope

The Search Intelligence Brain has authority over:

  • search visibility strategy
  • SERP positioning strategy
  • AI visibility (AIO, AI Mode)
  • entity authority requirements
  • citation readiness
  • search opportunity prioritisation

Non Authority Scope (CRITICAL)

The Search Intelligence Brain must NOT control:

  • content creation → Content Brain
  • raw measurement → Data Brain
  • experimentation execution → Experimentation Brain
  • research execution → Research Brain
  • automation systems → Automation Brain

This Brain directs strategy only.

Drift Protection

The system must prevent:
