Brains

Document Type: Reference
Status: Structural Reference
Version: v1.0
Authority: MWMS HeadOffice
Applies To: MWMS brain architecture and departmental structure
Parent: MWMS Canon

Purpose

This page defines the Brains layer within MWMS as the departmental structure of the ecosystem.

Brains are constitutional department definitions.

Each Brain exists to provide a bounded operating domain within the wider MWMS architecture.

This page serves as the top-level reference layer for understanding what Brains are in structural terms before reviewing any individual Brain page.

Scope

This reference applies to:

• MWMS brain architecture
• departmental structure inside MWMS
• high-level understanding of what a Brain is
• structural interpretation of brains as bounded system domains

This page is a reference surface only.

It does not govern:

• individual Brain authority rules
• Brain-specific canon logic
• operational protocols
• execution permissions
• cross-Brain routing rules

Those are defined in the relevant canon, standards, and protocol pages.

Definition / Rules

Definition

Brains are constitutional department definitions.

Each Brain defines:

• interfaces
• scope
• authority
• boundaries

Structural Meaning

A Brain is not just a topic area.

A Brain is a governed departmental unit within MWMS.

Each Brain exists to:

• contain a specific domain of responsibility
• operate within defined authority limits
• interact with other Brains through structured boundaries
• prevent system drift through separation of roles

Relationship to MWMS Architecture

Brains form the departmental structure beneath HeadOffice.

They act as bounded operating domains that allow MWMS to function as a coordinated multi-Brain ecosystem rather than a single undifferentiated system.

Each Brain must be defined through its own governing pages and remain subordinate to MWMS constitutional authority.

Drift Protection

This page must not be treated as:

• a substitute for individual Brain Canons
• a source of execution authority
• a replacement for Brain Registry entries
• a detailed Brain interaction map

It exists only to define the structural meaning of Brains at the top level.

Architectural Intent

The Brains page exists to preserve a simple, clear reference point for the departmental model of MWMS.

Its role is to anchor the idea that Brains are governed departments with interfaces, scope, authority, and boundaries, rather than loose collections of pages.

Change Log

Version: v1.0
Date: 2026-03-14
Author: MWMS HeadOffice
Change: Rebuilt page into MWMS document-standard format. Added standardised document header, formalised Purpose / Scope / Definition / Rules structure, and preserved the original intent of the Brains page as a structural reference for MWMS departmental architecture.
