Document Type: Standard
Status: Canon
Authority: HeadOffice
Applies To: All MWMS documents
Parent: Governance
Version: v1.2
Last Reviewed: 2026-04-04
Purpose
This standard defines the required internal structure used across MWMS documents.
Consistent document structure ensures:
• predictable layout
• reliable interpretation by AI Employees
• faster document creation
• easier governance review
• stable scaling of the ecosystem
Without structural consistency, documents become difficult to maintain, interpret, and automate.
A shared structure ensures that all MWMS documentation remains aligned with governance expectations.
Scope
This standard applies to:
• canon pages
• standards
• protocols
• frameworks
• specifications
• reference documents
All MWMS documents must follow the structural framework defined here.
This structure supports:
clarity
consistency
automation compatibility
governance alignment
Core Principle
Consistency of structure enables consistency of understanding.
Consistency of understanding enables reliable execution.
All MWMS documents must follow a predictable internal structure.
Mandatory Section Order
All MWMS documents should use the following section order where applicable:
Purpose
Scope
Definition or Rules
Governance Role
Relationship to other MWMS standards where relevant
Drift Protection
Architectural Intent
Change Log
Not all documents require all sections.
However, structural logic should remain consistent.
Section Definitions
Purpose
Explains why the document exists.
Defines the problem the document solves.
Clarifies the role of the document within MWMS.
Scope
Defines where the document applies.
Clarifies system boundaries affected by the document.
Prevents misuse outside intended context.
Definition or Rules
Defines the operational logic of the document.
Explains:
constraints
requirements
behaviour rules
structural logic
Governance Role
Explains how the document interacts with MWMS governance structure.
Clarifies authority relationships.
Prevents misinterpretation of enforcement scope.
Relationship to Other MWMS Standards
Identifies dependencies or interactions with:
taxonomy
page naming
header schema
change log structure
brain routing
Ensures system consistency across documents.
Drift Protection
Defines what must not occur.
Protects the system from structural inconsistency.
Prevents interpretation drift.
Prevents governance erosion.
Architectural Intent
Explains the long-term design purpose.
Clarifies why the structure matters.
Ensures future modifications remain aligned with system direction.
Change Log
Records meaningful structural changes.
Ensures governance traceability.
Provides historical clarity.
Page-level change logs may remain minimal.
Monthly change logs are governed separately.
Relationship to Monthly Change Log Handling Rule
Routine structural formatting improvements do not automatically require a monthly change log entry.
Monthly logging is only required when:
document structural logic changes
governance relationships change
document behavioural meaning changes
Routine formatting alignment does not require monthly logging.
When required, the AI must state:
Please add this to Change Log Month
Drift Protection
The system must prevent:
documents without clear structure
documents missing Purpose section
documents missing Change Log section
documents using inconsistent section order
documents mixing multiple structural patterns
Structural inconsistency reduces system reliability.
System reliability is required for scaling MWMS.
Architectural Intent
The MWMS Document Structure Standard enables:
consistent document creation
reliable AI interpretation
reduced formatting decisions
faster scaling of documentation
Predictable structure reduces cognitive load.
Reduced cognitive load increases operational speed.
Operational speed improves system efficiency.
