MWMS Course Absorption Decision Registry

Document Type: Reference
Status: Active
Authority: HeadOffice
Applies To: All completed course absorption decisions, including absorb, merge, park, and ignore outcomes
Parent: Governance
Version: v1.0
Last Reviewed: 2026-04-14

Purpose

This reference page provides the historical record of what MWMS has already decided to do with course-derived material.

Its purpose is to prevent duplication, repeated review, and uncertainty about what has already been absorbed into the ecosystem.

This registry answers questions such as:

• have we already absorbed this idea
• did we reject this block already
• was this material merged into another page
• was this course useful but premature
• what page or subsystem did this block improve

This is the memory layer for course absorption decisions.

Scope

This reference applies to:

• all completed block-level course decisions
• all absorb outcomes
• all merge outcomes
• all park outcomes
• all ignore outcomes
• all course-derived upgrades recorded as completed or deliberately not pursued

This page governs historical visibility of course absorption decisions.

It does not govern:

• active pending items
• live implementation sequencing
• direct drafting logic by itself
• direct build work by itself

Those belong in the Handoff Queue or the relevant implementation environments.

Definition / Rules

Core Rule

Every meaningful completed course absorption decision should be recorded in the Decision Registry.

The registry stores outcome memory, not pending work.

Registry Entry Requirement

Each completed decision entry must include:

• Registry ID
• Course Name
• Block or Section
• Capability Area
• Decision Outcome
• Reason
• Target Brain
• Destination Environment
• Final Action Taken
• Related Page or System
• Date Recorded

Decision Outcome Model

Valid decision outcomes include:

• Absorbed
• Merged Into Existing Page
• Parked For Later
• Ignored
• Replaced Existing Material
• Deferred Pending Future System Maturity

Reason Requirement

Each registry entry must state why the decision was made.

Examples:

• new capability not previously covered
• stronger operational model than existing material
• duplicate of stronger existing MWMS framework
• useful but premature for current system maturity
• too generic to justify structural complexity
• merged into broader page family rather than standalone page

Related Page Rule

Where a block leads to structural change, the registry should record the destination.

Examples:

• page created
• page updated
• queue item completed
• build handoff issued
• parked with no page yet

Historical Memory Function

The Decision Registry exists to answer:

• what have we already absorbed
• what did we decide not to absorb
• where did this course idea end up
• are we seeing duplicate material again
• which course blocks produced real system upgrades

Governance Role

This page provides memory discipline for course absorption.

It protects MWMS from re-evaluating the same course ideas repeatedly and allows future reviews to compare new material against prior decisions.

Relationship to Other MWMS Standards

This page works alongside:

• MWMS Course Absorption Operating Rule
• MWMS Course Absorption Handoff Standard
• MWMS Course Absorption Handoff Queue
• MWMS Architecture Registry
• Brain Routing Rule

Drift Protection

The system must prevent:

• completed course decisions disappearing into thread history
• pending items being mistaken for completed outcomes
• repeated absorption of already-rejected or already-merged material
• course value being overstated because no prior decision record exists
• weak material being reconsidered endlessly without historical context

Decision memory must remain explicit, reviewable, and reusable.

Architectural Intent

MWMS Course Absorption Decision Registry exists to give the ecosystem a durable memory of what external learning has already done to the system.

Its role is to support anti-duplication, historical traceability, and disciplined future comparison so MWMS grows through better decisions rather than repeated rediscovery.
